Merry Christmas!!!

I hope everyone out there had a Merry Christmas! I know I did. The Simpson's had christmas Friday night at my parent's house. The 6 little girls (great-grandchildren - Hannah, Sidney, Ella, Jade, Avery & Abby) had fun on mom & dad's stairway. My sister and I reminisced about how we did the same things on that stairway when we were little - slid down on our stomachs face first, had contests seeing who could jump off the highest stair, bounced down on our butts one step at a time.... And THEN, Uncle Jim got the girls all SLEDS!!! I'm sure you can figure out what they wanted to do with them. Of course they got stopped dead in their tracks on that idea. They also had some fun trying to find mom's cats which were hiding under beds and couches, of course trying to stay away from the crowd. Saturday, Christmas Eve, my family stayed home and watched Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith, drank coffee and went to bed so that Santa would come. And Santa did come. He brought lots of great things this year, so I must have been a good girl. =) We had to drag Geoff out of bed at 7:00 so we could open presents. This early tradition is something he hasn't taken well to...yet. 7:00 is actually late for us. Michelle and I used to always get up before sunrise to see what we got. I got lots of clothes (which I picked out so of course I like them), and some candles, and a new coat, and a Darth Tater!!!! (Mr. Potato Head) Yeah, I get Star Wars toys every year, which are the most fun presents. Hehe. I'm glad I haven't grown up enough yet that I can't get toys. Then we went to church and after church we went to Grandma and Papa's for Christmas with the Phillips'. Got lots of good things there also, and ate noodles!!! I have had a great weekend, spending time with family and getting lots of presents, but most of all I am thankful for another good year. I am glad that all of our family is still here to celebrate Christmas together...not everyone is that fortunate. Happy Birthday Jesus.

My First Post

I cannot wait for this week to be over, but it seems to be slowly dragging along. Things at work have been SLOW. Which, I guess is good, because I'm on vacation next week and I don't want them to have so much for me to do that they could keep me from taking my vacation. My parents and I are going down to TN this weekend to move my sister closer to home. YAY!!! I will get to play with my sister (and brother(in-law)) all the time now!!! Christmas is a week and a half away. I love Christmas. Can't wait to do all the holiday stuff. So, here is a pic of me from this past weekend, before I went to a Christmas party with Larissa...
